He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ehlert and Fern Ehlert (Johnson); his siblings, Meryle, Gerald "Jerry", Robert, Walter Jr., Mary Lou, Sharon and Faye; and his siblings-in-law, George Wendland, Robert Dietz, George Pierce, Charlie Curtis, Bev and Kathy.
He is survived by: his sister Rita Wendland of Apple Valley, MN; and his sister-in-law Pat Ehlert of Fairmont, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family asks that memorials be given in George's name to the MN Veterans Home in Luverne, the VA Hospital, the American Legion Post 36, or the donor's choice.
