He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Smedsrud and Eldena Smedsrud (Cross); his wife Virginia; and his siblings, Jim Smedsrud and Elaine Predmore.
He is survived by: his daughter Kellie Pickner (Kelly) of Springfield, SD; his grandson Kody Pickner of Springfield, SD; and his siblings, Keith Smedsrud, Eileen Siebenahler, Evonne Meinerts (Al), Ellen Barton (Monte), Dale Smedsrud and Dwight Smedsrud. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
