He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hoeck and Viola Hoeck (Dibbern); his uncles, John, Gordon, Lorenz and Victor; and his aunt Alice (Gundvaldson).
He is survived by: his wife Kayleen Barstead of Sioux Falls; his sons, Daniel Hoeck (Tammy) of New London and Russell Hoeck (Stacey) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Josh, Alyssa, Kaden, Anna and Brody; his great grandchild Viola Rose; his sister Gloria Ryan of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his nieces, Felicity Bormann of Las Vegas and Julia Ryan of Glen Rose, Texas..
