He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Smook and Marjorie Smook (Donth); his brothers, Myron and Dennis Smook; and his grandparents, Ed, Jenny Donth, Henry and Tillie Smook.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Jane Baker (Randy) of Steen, Minnesota, Matthew Smook (Ann) of Luverne and Kay Wynia (Craig) of Rock Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Emma, Cole, Kelsey Baker, Jacob Munger, Marissa Tuttle (Derek), Braden (Brianna Van Veldhuizen), Mason and Melanie Wynia; his siblings, Randy Smook (Vicki) of Luverne, Kevin Smook of Magnolia and Jenalee Klein (Allen) of Ft. Meyers, Florida; and his sister-in-law Arlene Smook. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
