He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Fodness and Tena Fodness (Buss); his former wife Lucille Van Leirsburg; and his siblings, Larry Fodness and Iva Jean Dvorcek.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Fodness of Rushmore, Minnesota; his sons, Bruce Fodness (JoAnne) of Hardwick and Bryan Fodness (Mavis) of Hardwick; his grandchildren, Robert Fodness (Lisa), Julie Fodness (Derrick Redlin), Jonathon Fodness (Brittany), Andrew Fodness (Laura), Courtney Blenner (Andrew), Lyndsey Fodness (Adam Hartman) and Adam Fodness (Adriana De); his great grandchildren, Jayden, Logan, Emmett, Kade, Easton and Elliot; his sister Barbara Hellwinkel of Hardwick; his stepchildren, Gail Dittmer (Paul) of Worthington, Brett Baumgartner (Terri) of Madelia, Sam Baumgartner (Jay Sturm) of St. James and Sarah Beckstrom (Carl) of Mitchell; and his stepgrandchildren, Aaron Poppen, Anthony Poppen (Tosha), Adrienne Poppen (Steve), Zachary Baumgartner, Matthew Baumgartner, Jessica Doyle (Logan), Kelsey Garvis, Maddisyn Garvis, Aiden Beckstrom, Henry Beckstrom, Jack Beckstrom and Charlie Beckstrom. He is also survived by four step-great-grandchildren; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
