He was predeceased by: his parents, Chris Blom and Josie Blom (Westenberg); his wife Gladys Van Essen; his brothers, Dick Blom (Pauline) and Don Blom (Lois); and his great grandchild Jason Hofland.
He is survived by: his children, Glenda Hofland (Arlyn) of Sioux City, Rhonda Wynia (David) of Luverne and Terry Blom of San Antonio, Texas; and his siblings, Glenn Blom (Geraldine) of Leota, Caroline Vander Woude (Frank) of Chandler and Earl Blom (Marsha) of Luverne. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
