He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Carlson (CJ) and Ruth Carlson (Danielson); his wife Judy; and his siblings, Paul Carlson (Bernice) and Helen Cartford (Robert).
He is survived by: his close friend Marie Tuma; his children, Jo Mottl (Marvin), Jennie Carlson, Marty Carlson (Heather Rautio) and Andy Carlson (Sarah); his grandson Caden Carlson; and his stepdaughters, Anna Tuma and Jane Tuma. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
