He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph R Ceplecha and Gertrude Ceplecha (Trcka); and his siblings, Joyce Fierst and Robert Ceplecha. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ceplecha (Hartmann); his children, Peter (Stacy), Ann, Angie, Audrey and Arlene (Dana); his siblings, Janette Kalina (Fritz) and Roman Ceplecha; and his sister-in-law Joyce Corrigan. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
