She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her granddaughter Rachel Bastyr; her parents, William Kalal and Elsie Kalal; and her siblings, Raymond, Milton Kalal and Helen Smisek.
She is survived by: her children, Gayleen Cockerell (Garth), Robert Smisek (Laura), Rodney Smisek (Kim), Charli Bastyr (Lenny), Roger Smisek (Linda) and Eileen Shimota (Charles); her brother Earl Kalal (Theresa); and her brother-in-law Arnie Smisek (Mary). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
