He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Skluzacek and Hattie Skluzacek (Smisek); his wife Dorothy Hertaus; his son Dennis Skluzacek; his granddaughter Kacey Skluzacek; his siblings, Marion Skluzacek, Hattie Vesely (Ray), Robert and Albert Skluzacek (Adrienne); and his siblings-in-law, Walter Pavek, William, Alvin, Ray (Joyce), Fritz, Roman Hertaus and Lorraine Kes (Tom).
He is survived by: his children, Roger Skluzacek (Sharon), Donna Kocina (Ken), Arnold Skluzacek, Karen Korbel (Joe) and Daniel Skluzacek (Jennifer); his grandchildren, David Skluzacek (Jillian), Kim Skluzacek (Chris Lambert) and Krissy Jenniges (Dylan); his great grandchildren, Henry, Walter Skluzacek and Mary Vikla; his sister Gladys Pavek; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Skluzacek, Bella Hertaus, Diane Hertaus Pexa and Jan Hertaus.
