He is survived by: his wife Etta Mae Shepard; his children, Brad Shepard (Christine), Mark Shepard (Terri) and Jennifer Kovall; his siblings, Lowell Shepard (Nodie), Janice Halver and Diane Slagle (Frank); his grandchildren, Hunter Shepard, McKenna Fogle (Robert), Jake Brown, Tanner Shepard, Cooper Kovall, Kaylee Shepard, Taylor Shepard, Madison Shepard, Samantha Shepard and Tucker Kovall; and his great grandchildren, Bowden and Brantly Fogle.
He donated so much of his time and himself giving to family and friends and expecting nothing in return that he earned the nick name " Free Willie".
