He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil "Reiny" and Hazel Schinske (Howes). He is survived by: his wife Janet Kuehne; his daughters, Jeanne Buchholz (Mark) of Sioux Falls, SD and Joni Schinske of St. Petersburg, FL; and his siblings, Ron Schinski (Tomoko) of Japan and Susan Schinske (Al Frisch) of Minneapolis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives.
