She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bernet and Marie Bernet (Stoetzel); her husband Richard; her grandson Matthew Shaffer; and her siblings, Joseph and Agnes.

She is survived by: her children, David Petron of Osakis, Jeanne Petron of Staples, Kathleen Shaffer (Bob) of Staples, Lynn Kroll (Hans) of Long Prairie, Thomas Petron (Cheryl) of Long Prairie, Roderick Petron (Manuela) of Holy Oke, John Petron (Christine) of Long Prairie and Douglas Petron (Cheryl) of McComb Township, MI; and her sister Joan Bernet of Edina. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren.
