He is survived by: his wife Doris Sowada; his children, Jill Dempsey (Tom), Lori Martin (Gerald) and Neal Biermaier (Priscilla); his grandchildren, Jenny Frieler (Ben), Derek Dempsey, Zach, Megan, Hannah Martin, Jake Biermaier (Jasmine) and Lexi Biermaier; and his siblings, Louis Biermaier (Pat) and Ann.
