He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Peyton and Jennie Peyton (Jackson); his wife Darlene Peyton (Johnson); his sister Sherry Mason (Bob); and his grandson Preston Rohr.

He is survived by: his children, Debi, Deborah Garlock (Rodney), Randy Peyton (Pam), Danny Peyton (Deloris) and Jerry Peyton (Connie); and his brother Dale Peyton (Polly). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.
