He was predeceased by: his parents, John Weitzel and Margaret Weitzel; and his brothers, John, Bob and Brad Weitzel.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie; his daughter Anne; his son-in-law Greg; his granddaughters, Alexis Evertz (Jake) and Alyssa; his sister Kathleen Pertl (Todd); and his brother-in-law Robert Miller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Woodridge Church (1500 County Rd 24, Long Lake, MN 55356). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens (5125 W Broadway, Minneapolis, MN 55429).
