He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Schmidt and Holdina Schmidt (Steffen); and his siblings, Verdel, Oscar Schmidt, Donald and June Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Schmidt of Little Falls; and his children, Tim Schmidt of Little Falls, Dewey Schmidt of Little Falls and Latha Stienbronn (Kevin) of Big Lake. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren soon to be 11 and many friends.
