She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Smuda and Leatha Smuda (Starkey); her brother Ben Smuda (Alice); her uncle Frank Smuda; her aunts, Louise Smuda and Frances Smuda; and her great-aunt Pauline Smuda.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Alice Smuda. She is also survived by several cousins and many close friends.
