He was predeceased by: his former wife Joan; and his parents, Dr. Alphonse and Beverly Welter. He is survived by: his wife Kari; his children, Nicholas Welter (Crystal), Elizabeth Zizza (Eric), Kristine Thayer (Jimmy) and Michael Welter (Alyse); his stepdaughters, Jennifer Olsen (Ben) and Jodi Bostrom (Grant); and his sisters, Linda Nichols (Mark), Diane Reich (Keith), Therese Neeley (Ed) and Ann Windrum (Scott). He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
