She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Curtiss and Ruth Curtiss (Helpenstine); her husbands, Donald George and Roger DeBoer; her son Shawn; her nephew Jack Curtiss; and her siblings, Wallace, Howard, Arlin, Sheldon Curtiss, Eileen Olson and Marlene Radunz.
She is survived by: her children, Steven George (Sharon), Debra Gilbertson (Allen) and Diane Rivard (Steve); her grandchildren, Brent George (Kristi), Jesse Gilbertson (Amy) and Brandy Grieger (Eric); her great grandchildren, Makenna, Luke George, Thatcher, Oliver Gilbertson, Sydney, Cullen, Leo Huff, Teagan and Brynn Grieger; her godchildren, Vicki Johnson, Jerry Curtiss, Sheila Larson, Jim and Jack George; and her sister Judy Silge.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Litchfield United Methodist Church in memory of Shirley.
