It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Hanson of Litchfield, Minnesota, who passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merle Hanson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, A. Wayman Hanson and DeLoy Hansen. He is survived by: his children, Mickey Speck (Douglas Speck) of Barboursville, Rick Hanson (Sharon) of Granite Falls and Kelley Hanson of Richmond, Virginia; his grandchildren, Megan Gorres (Brian), Reid Hanson (Taylor), Natalie Speck, Olivia Silva (Scott), Julianne Speck, Laurel Speck, Jillian Blumberg and Kayla Blumberg; and his great grandchildren, Jaden Gorres, Lane Wohlman and Mason Gorres.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (703 S Sibley Ave, Litchfield, MN 55355). A memorial service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In leu of flowers memorials are preferred to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
