He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Thornquist and Esther Thornquist (Peterson); his sister Ellen Shaner; and his parents-in-law, Douglas "Buck" and Wilma Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Owens; his children, Christine Maxson (Leonard) and Douglas Thornquist; his grandson Benjamin Bode; and his sister Jeanette Goetsch.
Memorial donations can be made in Lyle's name to Ecumen Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
