He was predeceased by: his father Richard; and his brothers, Kim and Kyle. He is survived by: his wife Bridget Mueller; his children, William Birkemeyer and Hannah Birkemeyer (Zach Fortun); his grandchildren, Bodhi Fortun and Berlyn Fortun; his mother Doris Birkemeyer (Hillmeyer); and his brother Kris.
