He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Follett and Mary Follett (Blowers); and his siblings, Donald, Barry and Carol.

He is survived by: his wife Geraldine M. Young; his daughters, Jennifer Weger (John) of Ely, IA and Pauline Hinsch (David) of Center City, MN; his grandchildren, Tyler Ruby Weger (Ryan Lanz) of Davenport, IA, Robert Weger of Ely, IA, Cora Hinsch of Center City, MN and Clayton Hinsch of Center City, MN; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Follett and Sue Follett.
