It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Haugen (Litchfield, Minnesota), who passed away on January 22, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Haugen and Lillian Haugen (Thulin); his wife Edith Lanning; his children, Carral and Linda Lanning; and his brother Arnold "Walt" Haugen.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Pfeifer (Jack) of Starbuck, Melodie Gaffney (Mike) of Wisconsin, Jamie Wiechmann (Virgil) of Litchfield, Carla Smith (Dan) of Hutchinson, Jolyn Haugen of Milwaukee and Brent Haugen of Portland; and his daughter-in-law Dorothy Lanning of Litchfield. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
