He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Watkins and Emerald "Waddy" Watkins; his siblings, Harold, Donald, Marvin, Maynard and Evelyn Reinke; and his siblings-in-law, Diane, Orville Reinke and Norbert Lindemann.
He is survived by: his former wife Violet Leona Kemp; his wife Lorri Watkins; his siblings, Alvin Watkins and Dorothy Lindemann; his daughters, Deborah Heacock (Jack), Denise Ross, Donna Pearson and Darla Kauppi (David); and also, Christie Wright (David), Cindi Gorr (Kate), Cori Heacock (Gaylen), Cheri Korman (Tony) and Chad Hochstedler (Kandy). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
