He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Veld and Elizabeth Veld (Douma); his grandson Tyler; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Viola Liepold; his brothers-in-law, Albert DePauw and Al Blom; and his nephew Robbie Erdman.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Liepold; his sons, Troy (Cindy), Todd, Jason (Laurie) and Jon (Tammy); his grandchildren, Marissa (Austin), Mitchell, Caitlyn, Jenika, Levi, Marshall, Cooper, Makayla, Madison, Mason, Kallie, Brayden and Logan; his siblings, Stan Veld (Marjie), Joyce DePauw, Marge VandeVoort (Gary), Linda Blom Eiben (Jerry) and Ruth Erdman (Rod); and his brothers-in-law, Jim Liepold (Lynne), Bob Liepold (Martha), Ken Liepold (Jackie) and Gordy Liepold (Mary).
