She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Kummet and Elaine Kummet (Stangl); her husband David McDonald; her brother James Kummet; and her brother-in-law Kenneth Przybilla.
She is survived by: her siblings, Louise Marshik (Dennis), Lois Przybilla, Elaine Deeg (Michael), Anthony Kummet (Marlys), Marian Bennett (Michael), Fran Waytashek (Roger), Judy Polhkamp (Jerry), Robert Kummet (Julie), Rose Wright (Tom) and Tom Kummet (Julie); and her sister-in-law Jan Kummet. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Peter (1250 S Shore Dr, Forest Lake, MN 55025). A Mass was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (4820 Howard Gnesen Rd, Duluth, MN 55803).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Relevant Radio, The Church of Saint Peter, Forest Lake or the American Diabetes Association, in honor of Joann's nephew, Brian.
