He was predeceased by: his father Robert. He is survived by: his wife Julie; his daughters, Kelsey and Kaylee; his mother Dixie; and his siblings, Bill Ryan (Darlene), Bob Ryan (Debbie), Ken Ryan (Cindy) and Chris Sharratt (Ken).

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
