She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick "Fred" C. and Ella D. Harms (Gruenhagen); her parents-in-law, Albert and Gertrude Benkowski; her grandson-in-law Dustin Michaelis; her brothers, Mervin Harms and Maynard Harms (Enid); and her brother-in-law Dennis Lenzen.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Herman Benkowski; her children, Randi Benkowski and Rhonda Schauer (John) of Green Isle, MN; her grandchildren, Jodi Michaelis of Glencoe, MN, Lindsey Drexler (Sean) of Arlington, MN and Jacob "J. J."; her great grandchildren, Tarin Michaelis, Cody Michaelis, Riley Drexler, Harper Drexler, Nathan Schauer and Makenna Schauer; her sister Marilyn Lenzen of Cologne, MN; and her sister-in-law Ruth Harms. She is also survived by her friends, family and babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
