She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Ekeberg and Verna Ekeberg (Strand); her parents-in-law, Clarence and Betty Schwartz; her brother-in-law Paul Schwartz; and her grandparents, Edwin, Alma Ekeberg, John and Pauline Strand.
She is survived by: her husband Mark Schwartz of Lester Prairie, MN; her daughters, Rachel Garfunkel (Drew) of Hutchinson, MN and Erin Schuerman (Ben) of Hutchinson, MN; her grandchildren, Christina Garfunkel, Emily Garfunkel, Jillian Schuerman and Grant Schuerman; her siblings, Sheryl Dahl (Ron) of Fosston, MN, Rodney Ekeberg of Fosston, MN, Kevin Ekeberg of Fosston, MN, Mark Ekeberg (Rafaela) of Shakopee, MN, Steven Ekeberg (Georgette) of Glencoe, MN and Karen McCowan (David) of Wayzata, MN; and her siblings-in-law, Ray Schwartz (Cathy) of Peyton, CO, Becky Ristow of Hutchinson, MN, Les Schwartz (Noelle) of Edmonds, WA and Donna Schwartz of Hutchinson, MN. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (124 Maple St N, Lester Prairie, MN 55354). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
