He was predeceased by: his sister Irene; his siblings-in-law, Morris, Dorothy Van Peursem, Elmer and Harriet Van Peursem; his brother Melvin; his brothers-in-law, Peter (Gertrude Prins), Wilbur Kooiman and Frank Calcagne; and his great grandchild Summer Lydia Van Peursem.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Prins; his children, Douglas (Brenda), Bonnie Ossefoort (Bob) of Woodstock, MN, Eugene (Laura), Bruce (Betty), Ivan (Marilyn) and Patty Sanborn (David) of Savage, MN; his sister Rosella Calcagne of Murrieta, CA; and his siblings-in-law, Irene Beyenhof (Tony) of Ontario, CA, Eileen (Willard Sankey) and Daryl Prins. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
