He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Boer and Jennie De Boer (Meyer); his daughter Deb Spronk; and his brother Don De Boer. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Van Essen of Edgerton; his children, Rod De Boer (Marcia) of Leota, Wendy Krosschell (Ron) of Chandler, MN and Jeff De Boer of Edgerton; his son-in-law Dr. Gordon Spronk of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Stacey Kruisselbrink (Al), Amber Vos (Kyle), Justin Krosschell (Renee), Derek Krosschell (Erin), Courtney Schelhaas (Tyler), Jordan Spronk, Morgan Vogt (Jordyn) and Nicholas De Boer; and his sister-in-law Louisa De Boer (Haye Zylstra) of Leota. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
