She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kooiker and Johanna Vermeer Kooiker; her husband Don De Boer; her former husband Haye Zylstra; her siblings, Herman Kooiker, Willis (Bev Kooiker), Jake (Gert Kooiker), Clara (Bud Rozeboom) and Cynthia Lundberg; her brother-in-law Nick De Boer; and her son-in-law Terry Kastein.

She is survived by: her children, Vicki (Doug De Haan), Bruce De Boer, Janet (Glen Holsather), Julia (Mark Kreun) and Sherry Kooiker; her sisters-in-law, Gert Kooiker, Bev Kooiker and Cynthia De Boer; her stepchildren, David, Lisa Zylstra of Laguna Niguel, CA, Dean and Sharon Van Kampen of Otley, IA.; and also John. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
