He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Dooyema and Mina Dooyema (Berghorst); his son David; his wife Doris Evon (Sundem); his brother John Dooyema; his granddaughter Beatrice Padilla; and his great grandchild Hanna Dooyema.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas, Diane Staeffler (Dan), Doug Dooyema (Luverne) and Denise Padilla (Ben); his grandchildren, Dustin Staeffler (Brook), Danielle Gimpel (Zach), Andrew Dooyema, Katie Kopp (Jordan), Amanda Bullerman (Brad), Kelsey, Sam Dooyema (Jackie), Elijah, Naomi, Jeremiah, Jedidiah Dooyema, Shantel VanSanten, Jessye Kellogg (Zac) and Benjamin J-H Padilla; his great grandchildren, Bree Staeffler, Piper, Cash, Oliver Gimpel, Ellianna, Hudson Kopp, Olivia, Micah, Mason and Hadley Bullerman; and his sisters, Angeline Ruiter of Sioux Falls, SD and Carol Null (Jim) of Farmington, MN..
