He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ward and Fern Ward (Behnke); and his brothers, Roger and Gene Ward. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sonnek; his children, Shannon Ward (Kellie VonBank) of St. Paul, MN, Scott Ward (Sheri) of Amery, WI, Renae Mueller (Kenn) of Arlington, MN, Tina Ward (Chas Grillo) of Pequot Lakes, MN and David Ward (Joy) of Sauk Rapids, MN; his grandchildren, Sarah Tiede, Emily Tiede, Tim Leslie (Jaden), Ryan Leslie (Kristina Berry), Noah Ward, Reegan Ward, Griffen Ward, Tia Ward and Alayna Ward; his great grandchildren, Avalyn, Laken, Owen, Camden, Palmer and Poppy; and his brother Gordon Ward (Sharon) of Mankato, MN..
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anne's Catholic Church (503 N 4th St, Le Sueur, MN 56058).
