He was predeceased by: his parents, John Moe and Anna Moe (Hovey); his wife Velma Malcomson; and his siblings, Ruby Bymark, Zona Brewster, Vernon and Wendell.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis (Susan) of Lawton, OK, Mickey (Becky) of Elysian, MN, Fran (Cheryl) of Cedar Rapids, IA and John (Michele) of San Jose, CA; his grandchildren, Robert (Laura) of Lawton, OK, Ryan of Lawton, OK, Ross (Noelia) of Grand Junction, CO, Ben (Anna) of Minneapolis, MN and Beth Meissner (David) of Plymouth, MN; and his great grandchildren, Isabelle and Jonah Meissner of Plymouth, MN..
