He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Eugene Griffis, Sr. and Venetta Lazetta Stiles; and his sister Nancy Lashmit. He is survived by: his wife Debra Griffis (Tylee-Nost); his stepdaughters, Shanna Tylee and Kiersten Bassett (Steven); his former wife Inez Thomas; his brother-in-law Ron Lashmit; and also, Virgil Griffis (Pauline), Ted Griffis (Jean), David Griffis (Susan), Ed Griffis (Mary Beth), Becky McCaslin (Rick) and Patty Long. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
