She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Knopf and Emma Knopf (Kuchynka); her husband John Berger; her daughter Helen Joyce Stremski; her siblings, Erma Kelly, Phyllis Stark and Henry Knopf; and her son-in-law Russ Hanson.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jo McKenzie of Montgomery, Carol Ann Hanson of Mankato and Robert John Berger of Le Center; and her brother-in-law Vernon Stark of Savage. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Catholic Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
