He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher E. Traxler and Agnes Traxler (Gish); and his sisters, Edith, Margie, Dorothy, Betty and Mary Eileen.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Plonske of Le Center; and his children, Chris Traxler (KayLee), Diana Widmer (Jeff), Todd Traxler (Katie) and Angie Traxler. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be sent to an organization in Mexico to help poor children.
