It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jane Benson of Laporte, Minnesota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Kampfer and Ruth Albrecht (Herb); her sister Kileen Zubke; her nieces, Nola Kampfer and Rebecca Kielsa; her cousin Chelle Lind; and her sister-in-law Kay Novodorsky.
She is survived by: her husband Gary; her children, Jeston Nelson (Jessica) and Leigh Anne Ford (AJ); her siblings, Glenn Kampfer (Karri), Marty Kampfer (Lisa), Bill Kampfer (Heather), Julie Kampfer, Roxy Kampfer (Ron) and Lori Kielsa (Brad); her grandchildren, Lindsay, Blake, Bryce, Hanna and Carly; and her siblings-in-law, Nick Zubke, Rick Benson (Jannell), Margie Maher (Paul) and Pam Ferguson (Jerry).
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Laporte Public School (315 Main St W, Laporte, MN 56461). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
