He was predeceased by: his son Brady Sobieniak; and his father Mathew Sobieniak. He is survived by: his wife Vicki McKinney; his daughters, Mariah Rose (Josh Freberg) and Alayna Sobieniak (Lance Prado); his grandchildren, Shyla, Adelyn and Finn; his mother Rosemarie Sobieniak; his sisters, Sharon (Keith Tabor), Lisa Sobieniak (David Ongley) and Carol Sobieniak; his siblings-in-law, Stephie Wiseman and Ron McKinney; and his nieces and nephews, Orion, Cheyenne, Rowan, Tom and Jaimie.
He built and donated bamboo rods as fundraising items for Minnesota Trout Unlimited chapters, including a rod that will be raffled by the Rochester-area Hiawatha Chapter in coming months.
