As Melanie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Melanie. Though Melanie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her mother Carolyn Hill (Tom Hill). She is survived by: her husband Daniel Ritter; her children, Kurt Sohn (Cristina) and Lani Viljoen (Chris); her stepsons, Justin Ritter (Malorie) and Joe Ritter (Kendall); her grandchildren, Karter Sohn, Kinsley Ritter and Paige Viljoen; and her in-laws, Ken and Diane Ritter.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Rushford Lutheran Church (101 S Mill St, Rushford, MN 55971).
