It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Edith Schmidt of Lamberton, Minnesota, born in Springfield, Minnesota, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Laverne Halvorson and Vernette Halvorson (Jenson); her brother Donnie Halvorson (Larry Knapper); and her son-in-law Scott Leinen. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Klabunde (Jay) of Windom; her grandsons, Tyler and Ryan Leinen of Mankato; her siblings, Gary Halvorson (Marlice) of Louisburg, NC, Patricia (Gene) of Avon, SD, Beverly Makarrall (Dave) of Revere, Renee Eichten of Marshall, Richard Halvorson (Peggy Lichy) of Pine River and Vicki Wendt (Rod) of Comfrey; and her sister-in-law Betty Halvorson of Windom.
