He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnerd Mattison and Leona Mattison (Quiring); his wife Margie; his parents-in-law, Kermit and Hannah Nerem; and his siblings, Myron (Lois) and LuEtta (James).
He is survived by: his children, Denise Clarke (Al) of Lamberton and Michael Mattison (Donna) of Winthrop; his granddaughters, Jennifer Pankonin (Alex) of Sanborn and Chelsea Stripling (Jason) of Waconia; his great grandchildren, Victoria, Carson Pankonin, Vienna and Leone Stripling; his stepgrandchildren, Nikki, Greg, Andria, Brandon and Zac; his siblings, Arlin Mattison (Peggy) and Janet Hochstein (Jerry); and his sister-in-law Kathy Bergmann (Lee Mitchell). He is also survived by 15 step-great grandchildren, many other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Highwater Lutheran Church (24250 Co Rd 5, Lamberton, MN 56152).
