The passing of Leona Lokkesmoe of Lakeville, Minnesota, born in Trimont, Minnesota leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Ek and Selma Ek; her siblings, Robert, Leland Ek, Lucille Olson and Muriel Armbrust; and her daughter-in-law Maureen Lokkesmoe.
She is survived by: her husband Knute; her sons, Kevin of Cumming, Keith (Alane) of Savage, MN, Dale (Linda) of Lakeville, MN and Darren (Kristin) of Eau Claire, WI; her siblings, Marian Johnson of Plymouth, MN and Carl Lowell Ek of Edina, MN; and her siblings-in-law, Albert Armbrust of Ormsby, MN and Siv Ek of Thunder Bay. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hosanna Lutheran Church (9600 163rd St W, Lakeville, MN 55044). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
