He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore J. Samolytz and Eadviga Samolytz; his wife Joyce Kester; his sister Jean; and his brother-in-law David Burback.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Birkholz (Paul), Kim McKellar (Tom), Tim Samolytz (Elaine), Sheri Samolytz (Ron LeMay) and Angel Samolytz (Aaron Brossoit). He is also survived by his seven grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law.
