He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Dove and May Dove; his wife Marilyn; his former wife Constance McLaughlin; and his sister Virginia Edwards (Joe).

He is survived by: his children, Timothy (Judy), Virginia (Robert), Patricia (Dennis), Charles (Lori), Kevin (Grace) and James (Nancy); and his nephew Joel Edwards. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren.
