He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Kellen and Frona Kellen (Serie); and his sisters, Patricia Kellen and Edna Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Hamman; his children, Tom Kellen (Madonna Thiner) of Lakefield, MN, Brenda Thiner (Del) and Lisa Anderson (Scott); his grandchildren, Megan McMonagle (Dan), Jason Thiner, Todd Thiner, Justin Kellen, Paige Anderson and Zack Anderson; his great grandchildren, Desmond and Adeline McMonagle; and his siblings, David Kellen of Worthington, MN, Alice Schulte (John), North and Judy Grunwald (Dan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials.
