She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Appel and Laura Appel (Uhlken); her husband Elmer Kruse (H. Ed Carlson); her son Gary Kruse; her brother Myron Appel; her sisters-in-law, Nita Appel and Marilu Appel; her grandchildren, Kelsey Kuehl and Kristel Kuehl; and her daughter-in-law Susan Kruse.
She is survived by: her former husband H. Ed Carlson; her children, Larry Kruse of Lakefield and Kathryn Kuehl (Kenny) of Redwood Falls; her daughter-in-law Diane Kruse Hussong of Lakefield; her stepsons, Roger Carlson (Beth) of Lakefield, Greg Carlson (LuAnn) of Windom and Jeff Carlson of Idaho; and her brother Marvin Appel. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
